Architectural Services

  • Architectural concept design and feasibility analysis is a fundamental stage of any project, enabling the best use to be made of any site. JLE Studio will investigate and evaluate the potential of a site or building. With every project, be it large or small, we will discuss the aims and objectives with the client to ensure that these can be met, and to suggest ways in which these aims can be achieved.

  • A building which has been listed is one that has been placed on a statutory National Heritage list. It marks and celebrates a building’s special architectural and historic merit. Conservation areas protect the special historic or architectural interest of a neighbourhood. JLE Studio has extensive experience working on Listed Buildings for both Grades 1 & 2, together with buildings located within Conservation areas. One of our great strengths is an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of heritage design and planning permission for listed and conservation buildings applications

  • Planning permission is the legal process of determining whether proposed developments should be permitted. Responsibility for planning lies with local planning authorities (usually the planning department of the district or borough council). Drawing on years of experience, JLE Studio has worked on projects both within and outside of London to achieve Planning Permissions and Listed Building Consents for our clients.

  • The tender process is the process by which the contractor that will undertake the construct phase of the works is selected. From the approved Planning drawings, we develop the scheme, producing a full set of technical drawings and specifications – the tender package – which is then circulated to various interested contractors for pricing.

  • In addition to collaborating with other Interior Designers, we can also provide a full interior design service if required, through our subsidiary interior design company, Pero Designs Ltd. We can design indoor spaces that are functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting essential and decorative items, such as ironmongery, lighting, and furnishing fabrics. The level of assistance can vary according to suit a client’s particular requirements.

  • The contract administrator manages the construction contract throughout the build and ensures that the work is running smoothly and up to standard. We act as contract administrator throughout the construction period to ensure the contractor and any subcontractors are building faithfully to the drawings and specifications. We make regular inspections to site, co-ordinating meetings and acting as lead consultant, and we will advocate for the interests of our clients in terms of time, money and quality control during construction.
